Manifesto of Wildart

In a world where all borders seem to dissolve, when dealing with commerce and making money, the civilian withdraws further into his own world. A world without borders. Our boasted freedom obviously makes people afraid. It all becomes disordered. He cannot understand it anymore and secludes himself from the world around him.

We, artists from WildArt see a task here. We think art can help people to get used to a world without borders. We do this by letting artworks lead a nomad life.
These nomads will stray around the world without borders or personal distinction. Whoever finds a work of Wildart, in the train, in a cab, in a library, a museum or just plain on the street, is invited to take the work home, enjoy it for a period of time and then, after a month, let it wander again in the wide world, to give it to a friend, a colleague, a passer-by or to leave it again in a public space.
We only ask the participant to tell the tale of the temporary stay of the piece of art on the Wildart weblog: http://zwerfkunst.web-log.nl, so that the journey keeps being documented and can be tracked.
In this way the pieces of Wildart become nomads, who travel across this planet, regardless of borders and without planning or securities. The participant civilian can wander digitally with it and see that it’s good!

The iron laws of Wildart

1. Wildart has no selling-price, it's not negotiable.
2. Wildart has no permanent owner, just spectators.
3. Wildart should wander, after 1 month in one place it should wander again.
4. Wildart is not connected to one artist, just to art.
5. The journey of the Wildart pieces should be documented on internet. This process becomes the product.
6. Wildart is autonomous, cannot be qualified by conventions of the modern artworld.
7. The importance of a piece of Wildart is determined by the ways it has travelled.
